Hawaii returns three starters, their closer, and a good nucleus of freshman who could actually play.

I think that’s what ST meant.

McNamara leaves the program in good shape.

I think next year’s team will be picked to finish second or third in the Big West.

Kolten Wong, Greg Garcia, David Freitas, Steven Wright.

Spring training rosters: Esteban Lopez, Jonathan Hee, Breland Almadova, Vinnie Catricala.

Kean Wong and Jake Bauers are probably going to make the Devil Rays squad in the upcoming season. It would seem the guy can recruit a little.

Three post-season appearances. (If Steven Wright didn’t contact mononucleosis, who knows?)

Mike Trapasso is coaching in a different era.

Hawaii’s baseball program is mediocre, but I think it could be a whole lot worse.

#4- Levon Largusa was my roommate in college. While he may have been unhappy with coaches trying to change is pitching delivery, he ultimately left because he was drafted by Toronto after his junior season.

I take issue with the headline of this article. MacNamara didn’t help “build” anything. COACH LES BUILT this once proud program. All MacNamara did was help maintain the mediocrity of the Coach Trapasso era.

If my old brain serves me correctly, Didn’t Lavon suffer an injury when he and the third baseman collided going for a infield pop up? I can’t remember if it was his hand or not but I remember he wasn’t the same after returning to the lineup. I didn’t know the coaches was trying to change his delivery but remember he had a real over the top throwing motion.
