Plays great in the final round and plays through pain. Makes the cut. Places in the top 5. Moves up to 16th in money winnings. Still second in the rookie of the year standings.
Didn’t win. Sure, but victories all over. Wait until she gets out of school and can give the game the time it needs. In 2 years she will be competing for the POY. Ya tink?

i wuz tinkin exactly da same ting. recruiting on a national scale, afta da debacle, if i wuz coach, what would I say? what you tink da young man is tinkin? i’ll tell you at least one of the things I’d be saying to da recruit prospects.

“we got players, dis and dat, from Samoa. one, his family missing, mudda and fadda and bradda, and nobody knew what was happenin for dayz, no phone, no CNN, nuttin for explain to da polyz wat da haps was in Samoa and Tonga. dats why we gave da team off for four days, so day can get dare minds right. anudda is fo try fo keep dem togedda. da polyz whith family and extended family in Samoa, California, Hawaii, all da polyz are a big part of our team. you could tell by watchin da La Tech game dat a different team dan da one dat played UNLV showed up in Ruston. but anudda facta is we need more speedy and players. thats why i’m here.” I’m not saying you'[ll automatically play. you gots to earn your spot. but as you’re seeing right now with Greg Alexander hurt, and before him had oddaz hurt, we give chances to da best of the best.”

ahem ahem
dat would be part of the speech. 😀

i agree, Fresno State game is going to be UH’s BIGGEST game of the season, the proverbial ‘Pivotal’ game, we either go UP or we continue to spiral down….we shall see

SteveM, #186 – You’re welcome!

The 1989 & 1990 BYU games will always rank with the best. Sometimes we need to re-live the good memories to take our minds off the present misfortunes.

I’m glad it brought back some pleasent memories for you.

On the following morning after the hurtful & embarassing loss, I was cringing to thinlk Fresno State with their vaunted running game was heading here. Now that I’ve fully recovered from my depression, I see the next game as a way back to credibility & redemption & perhaps more importantly, a way to repair the damage to recruiting that the national butt-whipping caused.
Let’s frustrate Pat Hill again, shall we?

Thank you for your post regarding offensive coordinators. A few weeks ago I tried to make the same VERY valid points and some folks went all haywire. However, it’s a LEGITIMATE question that has an IMPOSSIBLE answer. NO WAY can three voices be heard and a play decided on in such a small time frame.

It is I’m affraid, RIDICULOUS.

ONE voice is needed, and STOP THE SHAM, this offensive by committee non-sense is an absolute farse.

Clock management issues are VERY evident, confusion is VERY evident, the outcome is VERY evident. Remember third down near the goal line versus LA Tech, after 2 run plays came a fade, after a timeout, with the play clock almost expiring, UN-ACCEPTABLE.

Head coach gets paid $1.1M, not his fault, can’t fault a guy for getting what he can get, but the school, Chancellor Hinshaw, HOW DARE YOU…
How do you sleep at night knowing you are FLEECING the people of Hawaii in a time economic un-certainty…?

$1.1M per season and THIS is what we have to show for it. It’s not about losing, because that is part of the game, that’s acceptable…it’s about competing and not embarrassing the home-folk. Well, that happened. Egg on all our faces.

Fair question I think: How long will we (UH FOOTBALL FANS) stand for this…?

ugly week of football, whw, along with our ‘debacle’, last night SL loses to Kamehameha in a barn burner 15-6, and earlier in the day, Weber State, 4th and 1 on the 1 with 17 seconds cannot score the game winning TD….ouch.

everyone has a chance to redeem themselves come next weekend, UH vs. Fresno State, Weber plays Eastern Washington and ‘the beast’ returns :), and I think Saint Louis plays St. Francis, but that is yet to be determined

CONGRATS to d1’s Wildcats, they WERE victorious this weekend, good job!

once again, these are only my observations, i don’t know anything, and for all the misguided ones, i support the STFU group…..Stephen Tsai Friends Unite
