and I don’t mean by saying that Chow will be retained for 2015 or that Jay had his full support and has “full control” over UH athletics and then BJ resigns

this kind of “support” is full of WA HA – translated to mean full of hot air with no “meat”

33 Manoa Mist No one, least me, question the right to free speech. We all know what happen last season. When it comes to beating a dog senselessly serves no purpose. As we approach the recruiting season, an untimely remark may have an impact on where these kids decide to play. We should be giving them reasons why they should be staying at home instead of shooing them away.

Hawaii is really losing the recruiting battle for defensive linemen and linebackers to Washington State. I credit their defensive recruiting success to Wasington State’s defensive line coach, Joe Salave’a, a native of Leone, American Samoa.

I wonder how Kaumeyer would have done against West Division opponents this past season.

Fresno State (Carr), San Jose (Fales) and Wyoming (Smith) put up big numbers offensively last year while Colorado State, Boise State and Air Force were the top three in total offense this season. Looking at Clune’s defensive stats, an improvement from last year yet similar to Kaumeyer’s first year, it’s difficult to compare when consider how poorly the West Division performed on offense. Next year will be interesting to see if Clune’s defense continues to improve unlike Kaumeyer in his second season.

I think the answer to how good Kaumeyer might be as a DC is what happened when Chow hired Clune and he turned the D around in one year with the same players Kaumeyer had. I think it is also clear what Chow thought of Kaumeyer after two years.
