Colorado State University Did a Beer Tasting test. The numbers below show the popularity. The Higher the Number the higher the ranking. Bud’s Kingsbury Malt Beverage was the outright winner.

Bud Light .89
Budweiser 1.00
Coors .56
Coors Light .79
Fort Collins CO tap water .06
Gallo Pink Chablis .09
Kingsbury Malt Beverage 1.14
Michelob 1.04
Miller .68
Miller Lite .57
Old Milwaukee .81
Schaefer .69
Sugar-water and yeast .57

Who participated in the tests, you ask?

Why… slugs, of course!

Get those shallow bottom dishes for plastic planting pots and fill with beer. The next morning you will have tons of dead or really drunk slugs.

As they make sense, it will never get adopted!

Good morning Hawaii!

Mahalo for the slug salt trench idea. I’ll see if I can find something non-permeable to contain the salt even if it gets watered. I didn’t think salt was good for the soil.

A garden supply store was selling copper strips that causes a chemical reaction that slugs don’t like. I thought I’d lay down pennies… :))

Congratulations to the UH BaseBows & HS students who were drafted for baseball!
