Bogey, with all due respect, I’m a little confounded- if our WRs are one of our major problems–then why would we go to 4-5 receiver sets. From my vantage, given your initial statement, now you have only exponentially grown the problem??

seems to me..the defense… blanked a few teams in the second half… so can presume they are doing sumthing right..

the offense be playing about the same caliber of player.. more on a even scale with us… so we shall see what the offense does against rice…

Some coaches cannot tolerate players that may have at times an attitude/arrogance, these coaches have the “my way or the Highway” attitude, but great coaches can turn them around and make them outstanding athletes. Right away, Dick Tomey comes to mind. Great motivational speaker, got the best out his players, great defensive mind, tremendous recruiter. His only drawback was his offensive strategy. But a lot of people still liked him. Also, JJ was a great motivator and a great offensive mind, a players coach and players played hard for him and better yet he won! I figure you guys get the gist of this tirade.

funny thing. Von Appen went 0-12 and was fired. JJ with the same team went 9-5. Remember? Ol Von Appen recruited some awesome players (remember that linebacker that played for the 49rs? Ulbrich). Great recruiter, bad coach. Good coach, winning record. Dan Robinson looked so bad with Von A but looked like an All Pro with JJ. Ehh, that rhymes.
