Think about being a tailback at USC they get the cream of the crop rb’s year in year out but what if they recruit six that year and one turns out to be a Reggie Bush type of back others lower on the list won’t smell the field or you can go to a mid major and be maybe a 3 yr starter. The scholarship amount also plays a big part because wealthier schools could afford the limit but smaller schools might have ben able to only afford 2/3 of the limit in scholarships it also forces schools to look alot harder at who they’re recruitng.
