They get tuition scholarships for the semester that they participate in the marching band. Standard members get 1/3 and Drum majors and student staff get full tuition scholarships.

Alabama is not a ball control offense they average 38 points a game. Saban is no dummy. He needed to throw the ball more to keep up with the spread offenses in the SEC like Texas A&M so this year he hired the offensive coordinator, Lane Kiffen, who replaced Norm Chow at USC and almost doubled the offensive production.

As much as I like getting out of the Stan Sheriff Center parking lot in a timely fashion, I’d like to remind everybody that Hawaii is playing Delaware State tonight, a Delaware State club that upset Wake Forest 72-65 last week. Not quite the cream puff that they may appear to be.

Interesting football news this morning on AOL regarding UAB having beaten Southern Mississippi 45-24 to become bowl eligible since 2004; only to also be entertaining the schools closure of it’s football program; firing their AD and looks like a successful HC (Bill Clark) whose being credited with turning the football program around inspite of the financial short comings of the school in general.
Might this HC be interested in UH??, might fit like a glove.
He’s got the resume.

Don Weir…remember the bus driver got lost on the way to the practice field we wound up practicing at 1am or so….it started to snow and the locals guys had never seen snow and started hollerin and screamin just having fun!!! The neighbors of the school we were at called the Police and told us to leave!!!! Too much noise for 3am…we wound up eating dinner at Hotel at 5am local time…we were in St. Louis and still had to get to Knoxville later that day….it was wild!!!!!
