this 2012 recruiting class is significant in several ways.

one, it is rather impressive given that there were only four weeks to recruit to. it showed that norm and his hires could walk the talk. they’ve learned how important recruiting has been and already had a laundry list of potentials to call upon.

two, we got four significant local boys who will pave the way for others to follow (john wa’a for example). don’t forget the bounce back (s) will be impressive as well. we’ll realistically have one for sure with another on the wing yet to be revealed.

three, we addressed our pressing needs. and they all have size in the trenches, speed on the perimeter, and appear to academically sound.

four, as coach says in three to four years we’ll be able to tell what kind of class this will be. if, what has been put together in this short time is any indication of sorts of what is to come then, yah, i am getting excited.

…after all these are exciting times.

but, i like maui for what it is. the folks there are still so down to earth, sincere, and great people.
