Savala to USF is what is being said.

Re: Conduct of fans, etc. at games.

IDK, everyone says that we have to show class, etc., but look at the BIG TIME programs, they have fans that are vile, rude, and just out right classless (In the stadium, out of the stadium, on the Internet, in person)…BUT in Hawai`i we gotta be nice nice all the time. Give me a break….remember folks, its a BIZNESS, not church. When the game is over, then yeah, we can be all nice and show ALOHA…otherwise, its a free country and I will do what it takes to make sure the OPPONENTS know who I am backing.

Also, there are people that say we should not slam recruits that “Trip” us or after they give a Verbal commitment to us and then commit to other colleges. You know what? I think that they deserve to get blasted by the fans and that they better get used to it. So they are still young? I don’t care, nowadays you got kids and I repeat KIDS acting like adults. Killing people with guns, having sex PRE-TEEN, etc. And you still want me to cuddle them? Please….they want to act like grown-ups, well I’m going to treat them like one.

One last thing. e-Bolla virus HAS TO GO. Think about this. If you owned a private company and had an employee that just down-right sucked, caused your PAYING customers to stop patronizing you, made other workers (In this case, players) not want to do their best…basically dragging your company down the drain….would you keep him on the payroll of find a way to replace him at all costs?

Reminds me of the football fans who comes to Aloha Stadium, get’s all drunk, cusses out and puts down the local people sitting around them, does stupid stuff, then get’s cracks. Then goes home, crys to their local news media on how Hawaii if full of thugs…

Sometimes I wish Aloha Stadium had it’s own version of Oaklands “BLACK HOLE” fan section.

If they wanna lie to the world about Hawaii fans we should give them a reason to tell the truth.

I say we reach out to Halawa inmates and have a section open to them for all home games against Fresno State RIGHT INSIDE the visitors section. They’d still be in their Halawa jumpsuits. I’d give them free beer for all four quarters.

But to be safe, I’d fence in that section and close it off from the rest of Aloha Stadium.

FSU people wanna complain, we’ll give them a reason!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s unfortunate that all the teams competing right now are struggling. The enthusiasm for UH athletics is down. I hope it doesn’t affect the ticket sales for football.

Next season will be the 2009-2010 season, and the season after that will be the final season on his contract.

Unannounced by the university, Bolla signed a four-year extension over the summer that will keep him at the helm through the 2010-11 season.

The Regent’s action raised the maximum annual salary for the position from 71,388 to $135,000, to $118,488 to $209,784.

Bolla’s original three-year contract called for an annual salary of $120,000. While declining to specify the terms of his current agreement, Bolla said his salary falls “on the low end” of the current range.

According to rules created in 2006 and updated each of the past two years, “any communication via message boards, chat rooms, walls, comments, blogs, IM, etc. is not permissible.”

And the NCAA uses a broad definition of “representatives of a university” – in addition to coaches and athletics staff, it also includes boosters, season-ticket holders, alumni, donors and even current students, according to Stacey Osburn, the NCAA’s director for media relations.

Andre DeBose, a five-star football prospect from Orlando, committed three weeks ago to play for the Florida Gators this fall.

Drew Degraauw, born and raised in Baton Rouge, La., and a 2003 graduate of LSU, figures he has a little more than a week until the Feb. 4 national signing day to sway DeBose to his beloved Tigers.

“LSU is where it’s at,” Degraauw, 28, recently wrote on DeBose’s Facebook page. “You’d be the man in Baton Rouge!”

Innocent as his intentions may be, Degraauw was unwittingly committing a secondary recruiting violation. The NCAA considers Degraauw, an alumnus, as a “representative” of his school’s athletic interests, and his contact with DeBose through his Facebook wall is prohibited by the NCAA.

Degraauw hardly is the only person committing such violations on social networking Web sites like Facebook and MySpace.

Check out a Facebook page of a four- or five-star recruit – especially those who have not yet committed – and you will find dozens of wall postings from fans trying to sway their decision.

“It’s real crazy,” said Orson Charles, an uncommitted tight end prospect from Tampa Plant who has fans of Florida, Tennessee, FSU and Georgia posting on his Facebook wall almost daily. “It’s fun. You just enjoy this while it lasts.”

It may be fun and harmless, but against NCAA bylaws.

According to rules created in 2006 and updated each of the past two years, “any communication via message boards, chat rooms, walls, comments, blogs, IM, etc. is not permissible.”

Phone, e-mail and faxing are the only acceptable forms of direct communication with recruits, with restrictions placed on how many times a school representative can initiate the contact.
