If the site is correct it says he finished 7th in the 14 and under age group! His dad hasn’t passed the 40k marker yet. They are waiting for him at finish line.

I’m so proud of my son but have to admit last year when he expressed interest in running the marathon and decided to do it last year I had to stop and wonder if he is really MY son?!?! Can’t even imagine wanting to wake up at 3am to go run 26 something miles through the humid & rainy streets of HNL. I just don’t get it, but I couldn’t be more proud of him. At 13 he finished very high last year in his age group and beat his dad. His dad started training in August this year in hopes of beating his son this year, but if the tracking site is accurate it isn’t gonna happen! 🙂 Son is way ahead & should be finishing soon. Waiting for the call now!
