To those few to whom it may concern:
Personal attacks like:
“…he made you look like a fool…”
“…You ever realize how vain you are…”
“…we all know you are tight with Boise St…”
“…u know nothing–put down ur crack pipe clown…”
“…ur monotone and boorish w a predictable and limited mindset…”
serve no purpose other than to make the attacker feel superior by belittling the attackee, regardless of who started it. There are just a handful of people here who can’t seem to resist flaming people like this (these are quotes cut and pasted from recent posts). This type of name calling contributes no more to our discourse than the disruptive rants of people we’ve seen recently at town hall meetings on health care. And it leaves the same bad taste in my mouth.
Some of you who have lowered yourselves to that level have also made very worthwhile contributions to the discussions here. Please continue to provide that type of positive commentary.
However, if you can’t resist the urge to flame people like you have, then please find another blog on which to unleash your venom. I’m tired of dealing with it, and I’m sure I’m in the majority, not a “subgroup.”

Al: I’ll stop by between appointments. As long as there’s coffee and an assortment of baked goods served and sold, that’s fine. If I eat anything heavier than that, I’ll nod off for the rest of the afternoon.

It’s been interesting reading the interchanges over the past couple of days on the three topic threads.

First – the Haka/Ha`a: Has anyone on the coaching staff or even here on the blog considered asking the Kamakakuokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies to provide some support in creating a unique and culturally appropriate chant? The new director whom I heard speak the other evening at a public lecture looks like he might have played some football himself back in the day. Perhaps there might be someone on his staff or a graduate student who would like to help out if the new director can link him up with Coach Mac & Jim Donovan.

The other two topics can wait.

C’mon, you know, CC aint all fuud–there are also discussions about “cleansing” the site and keeping it in-line with their self-proclaimed views.
Like I said, go for it, but dont personally false-crack posters and then cry wolf when they slam back.

anyway, how can you qualify, justify, or quantify your statement here when you haven’t had lunch with these guys?
