The Zoo and future Stadium: Wouldn’t the zoo (now that it lost it’s accreditation) be the perfect spot for a stadium/venue? Maybe a 35K expandable up to 40K stadium. Could benefit for all of Honolulu and Waikiki and the UH. Add parking for the Waikiki Shell when the stadium not in use. All the marathons would end there instead. Plus who the heck really goes to the zoos with the internet available now, and the cruelty to animals being displayed, I’m pretty sure tourist are not coming from all over the world to see our zoo which has the exact same animals as their zoos! Makes no sense to even have a zoo, unless it shows only native fauna, animal and rodent species, and maybe educate on invasive species who entered and destroyed the pristine environment. traffic (in and out) would be about the only real issue to deal with but that’s way easier to do then to reroute freeways for a UH Manoa location. And lastly by doing the stadium in waikiki, it will force us to dredge and clean up the Ala Wai which would be a perfect/ideal outdoor environment for all water exercising, training and activities (you know the reason why tourist DO come to Hawaii).

Okay… I’m a day late, but welcome back… Hope some of the Bows will have a chance to compete at an NFL camp and hopefully land a position with that team.

talk about a “free” ride to Hawaii – yea, yea, I know it was part of the “deal” to gain conference membership

then, it behooves UH to do well in many sports and gain entry into another power5 conference – of course, the most attractive is the PAC 12 – thus it behooves all coaches to schedule the heck and beat PAC 12 teams.

btw, how many MWC BB teams went to the “big dance” and results? only UH advanced to the 32?

doesn’t hurt to schedule many schools from the BIG 12 conference — if UH gets in and travel subsidy is part of the deal — no worries banana — count on the millions to be gained from TV contracts to offset this – besides, what a recruiting tool for all the schools — playing in Hawaii every other year!!

that’s why I was hoping UH made the sweet 16 and play well against Kansas — just great exposure!!!
