I would be interested to find out why and how the wbb “finalists” were selected. Not the PC answer but the plain-old truth. The shenanigans in hiring continue. Amazing how well the good-old-boys network continues to thrive. While I am sure it works similarly elsewhere it is just so obvious there. Apparently, they must not think much of our intelligence since they continue to propogate the system. Worse, nothing is done about it.

Okay last one before I row into bed to milk the cow…in my dreams that is…

The buzz around UH athletics would be anticipatory if it were on the eve of an important game. Or a special announcement. And therefore it would be a welcoming sound.

But in this case, presently, the buzz it’s not pleasing because it comes with so much innuendo within what’s going on up there within the department this past week. And this adverse publicity may not be so endearing to the supporters of the program.

What awaits, half jokingly, is an artist’s rendering of a caricature of donkeys running the department with real life likeness of the ones whom actually do.

Yes, I know, to some, it’s not funny. And probably mean spirited but it just seems everything that’s emanating from the UH athletic department has people second guessing. And this isn’t good at all.

My only hope is that they, meaning JD and company, come up with the antidote for doing things correctly in the future. Whereas, consequently, we’d be spared of second guessing his decisions.

they need to pick a program changer, the wbb program as it sits is so far down the road that it will take a lot of effort to resurrect a dead program. I think the first thing the coach need to do is make the game of bb fun again for those on the team, the wins will come, then the fans will start to return with better play and competitive bb.

the tabloid reports that a name for the wbb vacancy has been forwarded to JD last night…should we expect an announcement today…considering the people on the committee, how can they screw up the list of the final finalist, unless there was a lot of horse trading after the fact and names were added to satisfy the chosen few…

The post-2007 Sugar Bowl football season, has created a sub-culture amongst “UH-lukewarms” that cannot stand to lose regardless of the situations and fact surrounding the circumstances that led to several of our programs having a tough fall 08 and spring 09 season.

I do believe that MORE pressure needs to be put on by the athletic director to ensure that success will come sooner than later though.

If the ONE year was JD’s way of saying “thanks, BUT…” then so be it. But I think many can agree that ONE year is not a real “pat on the back”.

And as ST eluded to earlier, it doesn’t help recruiting at all.
