I’m neither a good cop nor a bad cop. (Maybe a doughnut-eating cop.)
But I am the only one on full-time duty.
I’m the only reporter at every practice, here and on the road.
That’s my job.
Our two columnists’ job is give their opinions. Because of their roles, they try to keep distance, so they rarely go to practices, and they have very limited contact, if any, with the players or coaches. In fact, one of them has not been to a practice this regular season.
We all have different roles and purposes.

As HC he should have a better grasp of clock management and a lack of game adjustments. They say that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. We have seen this game after game. He was also touted as a groomer of QBs. This has definitely not taken place. He was touted as an offensive guru. This too has not been demonstrated. The team has improved in the area of Defense and Special teams, attributable to the maturation of Scott Harding. How do we interpret the loss of an offensive coordinator before the season began? Are we to believe that his west coast offense can succeed with the players on the team and future recruits? Will we see an improvement in the teams performance in the remainder of the games and the rest of Chow’s tenure? The most telling problem is the loss of fan support for the team despite a 50% ticket discount. There is also a definite lack of appreciation for season ticket holders. They are the blood of the program and have been no shows for many home games. They deserve more for supporting the program than the single game ticket to Wahine basketbal. The AD has a tough job ahead to turn the program around. It has to begin with a new face and coaching philosophy.

But, SS has been given chance after chance dating back to last year. SS plays way better now because of last years experience. I think it would have been nice if TG could have gotten the same treatment. Especially since this season has been in the hole for a few weeks now.

He’s not a freshman …

SS has started the rest this year and has led us to just as many wins. Not quite sure why people have written him off. It really isn’t fair if you think about it. The hype was so big surrounding him, that if he didn’t come out an beat USC and OSU, he sucked. Go back and watch game tape. A big part of the reason he sucked was also because of his receivers early in the year. I agree that he has “touch” problem with his passes. But touch is a part of accuracy that you can actually work on. And yes, in order to work on it, he needs REPS. Sorry Jeezy, I know you don’t buy the rep excuse.

There are people here that are calling for Tuileta to start as a true freshman. Are you kidding me? Watch him live. Not highlights. He doesn’t do all the things you expect a college QB to be able to do with his arm.

1. Tired lose.
2. Potential in many areas seems to be there. Does this mean they are on the cusp of breaking out? Or, is this all they got?
3. Play calling is mostly very predictable. Then once in awhile, Chow pulls out a good, creative series. Where is this the entire game?
4. Decision making by the coach is so questionable. Running a clock management offense when you are down by 14 against Navy . . . twice? Running a clock management when you are tied with SDSU? Continuing to run clock management while up by 7 instead of looking to extend your lead?
5. Recruiting seems to be better than recent years. Does this mean we should wait and see?

He’s fast.. Not tabuyo fast but still …. Runs very good routes, and strong hands… Can also make DBs miss after catch
