More like a gasp. Very surprising—on the other hand, as far as careers go, the most germane thing to always keep in mind is “when is the most appropriate time to leave??’ Well, in most instances it is when you have cache and market value–and that’s for any career.

My own 2 cents is that he recognized the limits of BSU and identified some upside UW and its greater resources and exposure. Couple that with his son is about to enter HS, he also probably want to set some stability in place. Finally, for all of us, the thought, of no matter how good it is in our present position, the thought of playing with the proverbial “big boys” is a fairly large impetus for considering the move. Interesting move, and personally, I think, not too surprising.
