The team has additional time to practice and heal. I don’t know to what extent future away game financial negotiations might be hampered by accepting a small compensation here, but it does seem reasonable to add that to the balance sheet in favor of maintaining the bye week. Mostly though, I want to see if the HC can lead the team to victory against one of the 3 teams (UNLV, Col State, Army) that seemed (before the start of the season) to be in the moderate to high probability win category.

Why would you play 5 non-conference games on the road for $400K each? To play at Ohio St and Wisconson, the payout is $1.1 and $1.2 million each. The next will be $700K and $800K net. Your math needs work as why eould you play non-conference road games to break even?

You obviously don’t go to home games as playing only 3-4 home games just doesn’t cut it. Like that you are thinking outside the box but please make some sense.

He’s always talking revenue. I doubt he was the one who turned down $600g’s for this hard up program. I’m not an accountant but the way to fix the budget seems obvious to me. Play all the non conference games on the road to the highest bidder. If you look at this years schedule, they could have played 5 non conference games on the road. At $400g’s a game avg., that’s $2mil. With only 3 home games, the stadium would have at least 35 – 40,000 so it would look n feel better. Plus the pay per view revenue may increase cause they would play better teams. No Army, Navy. We want Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Oregon. Here’s a thought. Give that crap Aloha Stadium to UH for free. Let the program take in 100% of revenue from games and swap meet.

With football losing so much money, the fan base being discouraged from attending games due to a poor product (no fault of the players), and with such a low morale within the Warrior football community, when will a change be made?

To go from the program’s greatest heights, only to drop below again to “Von Appen”-like status, at some point the AD must step in and make changes before things get worse.

Even with another year to recruit “their” players, the Warriors will not “chase championships;” shouldn’t we be winning championships instead of chasing them?!

Simply put, some lifelong coaches are not head coach material; a pro-style does not capitalize on the talent we are able to attract to Hawaii.

Would make a good slogan for the UHAD to promote itself and all it’s sports. Bet a smart marketing guy could build a campaign around it to promote more fannies in the stands for all sports.

Dunking for dungeness right from shore..unreal. They were fishing right next to guys whipping for kings at a river mouth in Lincoln City. Seals hanging around trying to pick off hooked fish. Got my fishing juices flowing….
