This team will begin to gel this week. They need to show up and play…I have been to two mainland games under Chow and can tell a difference in the effort start to finish. The experince and execution need to progress in a timely fashion. Regarding the MW correspondent who refers to Hawaii as a lesser opponent fails to realize what we have put on the field against some pretty good opponents. Just a few plays each game, lets say six each game could have made a huge difference. Lotsa freshman touching the ball makes it an uphill battle…..this week things change…..Go Warriors!!!!

(sometimes hard to swallow) But, i have to put my biases aside for UH and look at the big picture and take and honest step back, as hard as it is, i undrstand it. at times i dont agree with his player personnel decisions, but i have to think of the bigger, long term picture. and we all should try to understand his position.

UH comes first, and i respect that.

Plus, the already verbal commits for next year and that’s a very good start.

I know others disagree, though. I’m still with Chow.

Yes, and we are going through pains. Chow took his option to strip it down completely and rebuild piece by piece. Some pieces fit from the start, others need to be molded trial and error, and well….some are yeah discarded.

It’s not that Chow sucks but I can see why people say that 🙂

For me, it’s more that growing pains sucks. We all knew he stripped it all down, so we all know it’ll take time for the foundation to set. The thing that’ll make it easier is when the football players see that the people are 100% behind their coach. That’ll keep them buying in.

When the boys see a divide, it’ll carry to them and they will and can have a tendency to doubt their coach and will not buy-in and create dissent unravelling the team.

Even if I hated Chow, the bigger picture is how we fans can help solidify the team and go forward quicker, or help create a divide taking the team longer if ever to be cohesive.

Holding Chow to the fire i will say as you tinker with things and build things, please always remember the seniors who just want to go out feeling like winners and with great memories in their last year.

The good news, it all really starts this week so let’s see what happens 🙂

Just my opinion. Not that I’m too happy about our offense right now. I am referring to the system.

I feel too, N.C. is doing a good job at building a strong foundation to grow on. Also i will add, Chow has faired much better than coaches J.J. or Mack. recruiting locally… thus far. If Chow fails i wouldn’t want J.J. back. Hawaii’s next head coach needs to be younger…
