Bright and early this beautiful LA sun rise running my day camp program at my favorite place The Al Wooten Center. 55 children per day enjoying robotics, world languages, book club, computer lab, field trips and mobile application lab. I am outside on my play ground instructing physical conditioning as got some top notch 8 thru 12 year old boys and girls who can fly with quick reflexes and outstanding lateral movement. My twin sisters Samara and Samantha Guillory future Olympic sprinters for the USA as they are both that good. Remember their names as I played a part in their development for the past 4 summers. Beautiful and intelligent !

Have a GREAT day good folks and thank you Whitey#125 for your kind remarks as I do it for the ohana.

Allan#135: No worries as Hawaii alumnus Auntie Jane from Anaheim will be bringing the laulau, poi and pineapple up side down cake. Big spread bruddah for our future bows. Giving them a taste of what good local food is all about.

Imua Warriors !

I am very optimistic for a much improved team an will remain so even if there is a “bumpy” start……I belive the roster overall deeper and better…..the coaching staff is upgraded…..the defensive scheme allows them to create chaos…..the offense will look different no matter who the QB is. Some of these teams on the schedule will regress and some will improve…..very reasonable to believe that this will be a six win season and maybe more. Take exception with that but in the coming weeks it will be there for all to see. Go Warriors!!!!

A friend from Houston had an interesting take: he observed that the law firms in Hawaii were stocked with young lawyers with better “pedigrees” than comparably sized firms in Houston. He said he would get much better work product if he opened an office in Honolulu to work on his Texas cases! My point? There are opportunities everywhere. Pro Bowl players rave about coming to Hawaii. These are multi-millionaires, some who have never been to paradise before the game. The chance for some high school kid in Fresno to go play football in Hawaii has at least some unique appeal. If the program is solid, we can and should compete with comparable programs. Not the PAC 12, but the rest of the MWC. We have done it before, and can do it again…..

but you have to take into account also…that he got “knocked-out” first fight…
0-1 not a good record to start … he he he

Me agree however all what you say..except 4 Mr. BJ….he came here spouting off…about getting us ready for the realignment with the big 5….n to me ne way…he is failing miserably in the fund-raising dept…he is good though at cutting funds… n seems to always ‘away’ when there are problems brewing…or maybe me is wrong…n stand corrected..if sumone corrects me…

But for me… if you are getting paid big bucks to be…coach…AD..admin…or ne work with state funds (taxpayer money)…THEN HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO ACCEPT “flack”…

Can’t take the heat…move on 2 another ‘kitchen’…maybe stay air con…

It’s also ridiculous to pore the transaction wires, then assume every available player would be interested in Hawaii. Hawaii is far from the West Coast, way farther from other mainland points. Recruiting is about relationships.
When I was on the intern committee at the paper, we had applicants from Harvard, Yale, Missouri, Northwestern, etc.
Well, we paid $9 an hour, and didn’t provide housing, transportation or meals. There were no guarantees of future employment.
Suddenly, Harvard, Yale, MIssouri and Northwestern weren’t so interested.
