Walrich Drugs is where I started my baseball card collection. I remember buying 1981 Fleer Baseball Cards. I liked Fleer better than Topps because the back displayed minor league statistics. ‘Til this day, I can still recite Sid Fernandez’s minor league numbers. Man, he should have had a better career. I know he led the National League twice in Lowest Batting Average Allowed. Something like .217. Fifteen pounds lighter: Hall of Fame.

There was another Piggly Wiggly in Halawa in a wooden building and was torn down to make way for the freeway as lower Halawa housing was torn down.
