Pool of future Warriors is deep and wide
During a 10-day surge, the nine UH assistant coaches evaluated players from more than 720 schools on the mainland and in Australia.
Multiply that amount by the number of college prospects at each school and, well, it will be a busy upcoming week for the UH coaches when they meet to update their recruiting lists.
The assistant coaches should all be back in Manoa by tomorrow.
This coming week they will begin the second round of visiting every football-playing high school in Hawaii.
The evaluation period runs through the end of this month.

It was nice to see Jim Donovan, who visited the Les Murakami Stadium press box last night.
Donovan, who is Cal State Fullerton’s athletic director, planned his vacation to coincide with this weekend’s baseball series between CSF and UH.
Last night’s visit was a full-circle moment for Donovan. He was the first manager of Rainbow Stadium. He also sat in for an inning each on the OC Sports telecast and ESPN 1420 broadcast. Remember when Donovan served as a color analyst for KFVE’s football telecasts along with Jim Leahey? Ah, memories …
Foist?
Yep, you are
Nice to see the picture of Jim Donovan looking slim, trim and smiling,
One of the truly nice guys. Best wishes to him and kinda shy!
Hallelujah?
Way to go coaches, leave no stone not turned. Got to work harder and smarter to get the kind of student athletes we need to improve.
Please send a shutdown pitcher for Bob Coolen.
Brittany Hitchcock needs help.
A strikeout-oriented pitcher can hide a mediocre infield.
Aussies don’t always stay the full four years, however.
Brooke Wilkins
Justine Smethurst(who killed Coolen’s season)
If you have a curator approach to music, and you like Stevie Wonder, I suggest buying all of his albums between 1972-1980.
“Music of My Mind” was his first album for Tamla after he left Motown. “Hotter Than July” was his peak.
I’m going to tonight’s game.
It would be cool if they played either “Superstition” or “Master Blaster”.
I’m sure our former AD has a sense of humor.
We all know it’s not his fault.
Great Afternoon All!
Gotta dig fo find stuff.
Das it.
