Interesting that an impactful player and two who are considered impactful are not participating due to issues other than injury or possibly academics. I wish them well and hopefully a good life going forward, should football not be an option in their respective futures.

I just hope the rumors aren’t true that Fred Ulu Perry will be leaving and I also hope the Jamie Tago is able to get on board with the defense quickly if or once he is reinstated from suspension. Those could be two game changers this season and add toughness and pure talent to both the O-line and D-line for this team.

I don’t think we have anything to worry about. ST has mentioned several times during spring practice that left tackle DA was being held out of spring practice to recover from an injury and will be back for fall practice.

ST also noted in the blog at the start of the spring practice that Coach Rolo didn’t allow the players to use single digit jersey numbers in the spring. Tui normally wears #7 so he used another jersey number for spring practices.

Is it an oversight, but Dejon Allen was not mentioned as a player rejoining the team this summer after rehabbing from injury. Also, Tui Unga was wearing jersey #50. Is there anything going on?

Great rundown on the outcomes of Spring Practice! I’m looking forward to incoming defensive linemen along with the redshirt freshmen from 2016. The defense might prove to be much stronger than anyone expects. Key issue will be the continuing execution on offense … got to control the ball and keep scoring if we expect to compete for MWC championship.
