but yeah, as to Ferd’s column, i think he is right. no booing period. if you are upset at the coaches thats fine but the players may have difficulties distinguishing the boos babooze. people should come out to those coaches show or call in to radio, write to athletics etc etc. to critcize. thats a better forumn IMHO. I have always and will always defend people criticizing UH coaches (even if i dont agree)…not because im an a-hole but as public servants paid for by taxes they are accountable and serve at the pleasure of…thats right, you and me…bottom line, you calling for the coaches head and not the player? thats fine, but do it where the players cant confuse the two.

Mrs and I agree that Jake Santos sould be given a loooong look today at starting QB.

He is in his senior year and appears to be the only healthy QB now and also seems to know the plays. Further, he had 2 years at Mizzo before transferring to UH.

what i was trying to say more importantly is that due to suspensions, injuries, suspensions, and then more injuries we haven’t been able to put one qb back there for any length of time since spring training.

the lack of practice together shows as it turns up in inconsistency.

remember that last year was the third year together for colt and company. that alone is such a huge plus coupled with the fact that these guys were also rather exceptionally talented young men.

what we need now is a qb who will minimize the turnovers. we don’t have to be flashy. we need to move the chains however slowly but with consistency. 5 yards here, 5 yards there. move the chains and score when in the red zone. we should be playing field position football for now until the offense starts kicking in. short game offense would suit us well at this time.

what the heck, that doesnt sound too appetizing? (o_O)…where did you hear that Funaki is the captain of the ship? I thought I remember Graunke saying “my hand is fine” or something to that effect. did Mack make comments as to why he would keep Funaki? Something else is wrong with Graunke?

thanks for the insight. so i gather we cant put this on rolovich because the qb’s cant catch on. if thats the case we are truly truly truly in the weeds. id almost pray it was a junk coach who we could change rather than players who in the long run wouldnt be able to catch on…im sure this is neither the case though.

anyway we’ll see come saturday

go warriors!
