“People are fickle, people in this town follow the team as long as they are winning and they are quick to abandon,” said Musto.

They will turn this ship around, this program gave this State and each and everyone of it’s residents football fan or not the thrill of it’s life in 07″, now’s the time when this program needs us the most we must stand by this team our team, the bickering and sideline coaching is too be expected heck everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when people call for someones job without merit or ignoring the cards this team has been dealt it creates a situation where bad goes to worse, you think players and coaches don’t read blogs and websites, imagine how these kids feel being scrutinized remember they are students first and athletes second they aren’t professionals, as for the coaches good things will come remember this is Mack’s 2nd season and half his coaching staff is new to the program but once they gel we will be right back at the top…. Now is the time to show this football team what it means to this state!

“People pray for you here, people will you to win here, see it almost brings me to tears, I’ve feel so responsible to good and we’re not doing good right now and it really bothers me and hurts me,” said McMackin.

“We’re estimating a football ticket revenue deficit after three games of $230,000. We still have four home games to go and that includes Navy and Wisconsin which are typically attractive to UH fans,” said associate athletic director Carl Clapp.

Many fans have already jumped off the wagon — one even set up a Fire Greg McMackin Facebook page.

“I know those people are good people, they’re frustrated, there’s a lot of people going through some tough times so this gives them something to vent also and I understand that and it doesn’t bother me,” said McMackin.

It allowed him to get a better arc and thus a be a better target for the QB. He scored on a draw that went 47 yards and I think they have a better angle on picking up a blitz and blocking. Not sure why they didn’t go that way. Now, of course, it being used by teams around the country.

In preparing for Nevada a couple of years ago, the Warriors practiced the Pistol offense, in which the QB is in the shotgun 4 yards from the line of scrimmage, with the lone running back 3 yards directly behind the QB. Then — boing! — it dawned on June Jones. Why not run the Pistol during the game? They did, with Leon Wright-Jackson as the back. And they were successful. Maybe they could run it a couple of times in a game.
