Scholarship additions since the opening day of the national signing period reporting today include defensive end Caleb Evans of Palomar (Calif.) Junior College and former University of Hawaii punter Briton Forester of Palomar JC.

Jake Ingram update.

New special teams coach Scott O’Brien told reporters that the exciting battle for the long-snapper position between veteran Nathan Hodel and rookie Jake Ingram is going well. “Right now, they’ve come in, they’re working hard,” he said. “We’ve got a long way to go and every day is an evaluation. Every week will be an evaluation. Right now, we’re getting evaluated in team situations. The next step will be the preseason. So far, they’re both doing good and need to keep improving like any other position.” Should neither pan out, recent acquisition Rob Ninkovich has snapped in the past
