i think we have talent…but i don’t know if we have a large amount of youngsters with talent that will carry us over the years. to be a consistent top 40 team you shouldn’t be rebuilding you need to reload and start the pipeline like boise and smu is doing. how many times have we had 1-2 good seasons then a poor one….with JJ we had a bunch of good seasons but now that we don’t have his expertise we better get some talent. i will BELIEVE when i see it. we can see the true coaching ability of coach when he has the talent.

These are very timely sideline reports that occur soon after a key period of play. The comments from the booth are shared between Kanoa and Larry in a fair assessment of both teams. HDTV…brings it right into your living room!

What makes you think we don’t have the talent? We have tons of young talent.. problem is, they’re young and untested yet. But if the 4th QB is any indication of the direction we are taking, we are in good hands.

I hope they make better changes in the future. During last Saturday’s broadcast, and if interpreted it correctly the last one of the year, it was announced that the producer (Schmidt? of 26 years was stepping down/retiring/or let go-), who won’t be back next year.

Whomever the new producer of the K5 football broadcast is I hope they realize there’s a big room for improvement. When I watch HS football O16 I’m thoroughly entertained and informed. With K5 I don’t feel that way.

What O16 does well is that they give the viewers a lot of sideline reporting, with Jenn (?) doing a great job. And likewise with Dave V. They also give great commentary and analysts between the broadcasters. And time to time O16 brings in a special guest up into the booth.

With K5, compared to O16, you get less.

Although he always said the same thing, Tomey was really a nice guy who cared about his players and UH students, too.
Then one day I was walking by practice and Coach had two lineman by their face masks and he was bashing their heads together. I think they had started fighting and Coach wasn’t too happy. For a nice guy, Tomey could be intense.
After that, it was “yes sir Coach” and “no sir Coach” from me!

Third down conversion UH has made 54/114 for a 47.37 percentage ranking them at 15 in the nation.

Converting 45% of third down plays is considered good.

Making the right call in the clutch UH has. And to whom it is attributed towards, whether it’s Rolo or through the committee the team is doing a good job in this area.

We should be proud of his accomplishments. Maybe Coach Mac will bring that level of excitement back but he needs players and we may need to suffer a few years but we need to develop a young pipeline of freshman and sophomores so we are not killed every other year. SMU looks good for years to come with the young talent they have..we can learn from them.
