76. Golden Richards got hurt in 1972 playing Grambling in the 7th game of the season. He had already caught 23 passes for 414 yards and 5 touchdowns before injuring his knee. Grambling kicked off and Hawaii had two players left and right at the goal line. The ball went to the right player and half the Grambling team went after the ball, the player running it up the right sideline. Richards was left and was trotting to the left sideline, the UH home sideline, and the other half of the Grambling team, for apparently no reason, attacked Richards breaking his leg, about fifty yards away from the ball. Trot. Trotting. Grambling won that game 46 – 7. Richards was drafted into the NFL the following year, 1973. This was not embarrassing for UH. That was a dirty play! Embarrassing for Grambling maybe. Where is the film!

maybe ur rite there..FJ..
BUT ME THINK MAYBE OUR SPECIAL TEAM N DEFENSE WILL SCORE SUM POINTS..
maybe 2 td’s or so.. plus our offense 2 td’s n come out to 28..or maybe even 35..
maybe punt return or fumble for sum points..what u think ?

Aloha Stadium and Hawai’i fans on Saturday. Will Norm Chow and his team be able to come away with win #2 of the season? What do you think is wrong with the team, besides financial issues? Same old playing and not enough running. 50,000 seats is a lot to fill up. Most fans are fair weather fans. If the weather is good and the climate for playing football is there, then they’ll buy a ticket. $25/ticket is a good price for upper North End Zone which is Mountain side of O’ahu. The other is Waikiki side of O’ahu. This still is a good price to get. That leaves not much room for food and other items. If you had 2 in your party or 3, $75 dollars off hand. Plus $40 dollars for food for the whole night for 3, this totals to $75 + $40 = $115 plus $6 parking and total gives you ($121) dollars for the whole night on 3 people to be exact, including food.

Do you want to spend this money on somewhere else, or is watching a football game exceptional for you? It’s loud and noisy, but the atmosphere is great for a night out of football and just hanging out with some few. Is this OK for you? If you’re running low every week on pay, then this might not be the right idea for you. Otherwise, this is what we’re looking at for the Wyoming game. With this in mind, are you still planning to attend?

The “chow offense” is not one high scoring offense. Run, run, pass, punt up the middle, like Trojan said. Hard to score dat kine offense.

Das why I wen say UH 9. Dat plus the fact too much uncertainty at QB, the O going probably not gel toogeda the first time the play fast kine game toogeda.

Wyoming not one high scoring team too, das why I wen say Wyoming 14.

Based on norm and his philosophy about the game, and the newness at QB, we not going score too much dis game. The oddah guys going edge us out by just a little more.
