If anything, maybe it’s a combination of UH players just not being that good and norm chow being an incredibly ineffective coach and developer of players. Because really. this is pathetic. Utah State is winning games with second, third, fourth string quarterbacks. Pretty soon they’re just gonna have to craigs list for anybody on campus who can throw the ball. Am I seriously to believe that utah state’s fourth string quarterback is much more talented than woolsey?

It’s usually at the ankles, overthrown, behind or hits them in the face mask.

In the first half, Nevada’s offensive seemed to call a limited number of plays. The players on the two teams appeared on par and they mirrored each other in productivity and scoring. In the second half, it was like Nevada’s offensive play calling flicked a switch and transitioned. The plays became more complex, and it seemed that they expanded the number of different plays they used. I would say that the expanded range of (well executed) offensive plays is (in large part) what enabled Nevada to dominate the second half possession and scoring. Whether intentional or not, I think coach Rolovich convincingly demonstrated that the UH players are not the root cause of coach Chow’s 2-17 MWC record.

That would be very interesting. Woolsey was recruited to UH by Rolovich from CCSF. Just saying.

It’s the same problem every week. You have GAs coaching the WRs and QBs, and it shows. Young coaches may be “cool” and relate well to the players, but that’s not always a good thing – just like a boss who’s also a “friend” of the people he/she supervises.

Defense played well in the first half – forcing many 3 and outs, but got gassed in the second half.

USU’s 4th string QB is a true freshman, but he looks a little like a young Chucky Keaton.

i haven’t seem many press conferences with chow but it seems that he’s not really willing to talk to the media or has an adversarial relationship with them. do you guys agree?

It is like a Judo master turning professional boxer. If we cannot pass we will lose.
