Warbow #4 & Pakipark #21: I think there was talk by the former AD of a master plan building a multi-level athletics complex where Klum Gym currently stands. The current athletic complex was built in the early 80s or over 30 plus years ago and is showing its age. I remember when recruits were shown the “new” astroturf on Cooke Field, back in the day, then whisked off to Waikiki, because there was nothing else worth showing in the Lower Campus.

New LSU DC Dave Aranda will sign a 3-year contract starting at $1.3 million, that will escalate each year and is not connected to HC Les Miles’ employment. Not bad for a guy who was not retained here in 2012.

I’m particularly enthused about Rolo being our Head Coach because of some of things he said with emphasis…such as getting the team member to unify, to create that bond of closeness that all good teams seem to have. Its well known that physicality of a team is just one component…but unity, friendship, that special bond can help players work a bit harder, make them a step quicker, make that tackle with more ‘wrap up’…and not least, produce that never say ‘die’ mind set…that special conviction that they can win. Yeah, I think Rolo has the right idea…now we shall see if he can implement it.

# 21 Coaches may not initiate contact with players by phone calls. If they want to recruit certain players, they must wait. I went through this last year with my son.
