Portland State is in the college football notes because after their 66-7 throttling of North Texas, their head coach was fired.

PSU has two victories over FBS competition.

The last time they accomplished this feat was 2000.

The two victims: Hawaii(I was there, I remember a drunk fan behind me screaming: “Go back to junior college, you f*****’ “haole”!) and New Mexico.

Headed to NM to watch the game and visit with ancient Warriors teamates from the lat 60’s and early seventies. Reminded our host that I am the youngest and I finished in 73! Still have faith in salvaging this season and so it begins this week-gotta change some things and do something to generate offense. I know someone will take exception to this but NM bulk of rushing offense came at the expense of Mississippi Valley State, New Mexico State and Wyoming. Means nothing if we don’t show up-means a lot if we do. Rather stay positive and am going to do my best to will them to victory. Don’t care if we are 5 point undersdogs, but learned a long time ago that if you want something you have never had then you gotta do some things you’ve never done! Go Warriors!

Both Wagoner coached teams…n very…very big contrast in the victory…when the clock ticks zero…from Chows victory last season against the rebels of Nevada….if ne of u have time go watch them 3 games…last few seconds…u you will definitely see the different styles in players n how they all react to a victory…with different coaches…so easy to spot…

Me still think our teams win at Lincoln has to be the biggest upset in UH history… n the BYU game the second…only because maybe we are at home…before a jammed packed screaming fans…looking 4 blood…unbelievable game…worth watching when u have time…

But hate what it has become. We are 5 point underdogs to New Mexico and that will be a tough game at altitude and facing the 11th ranked rushing team in the country.

McCarthur once said at his kinda forced retirement “OLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIE THEY JUST FADE AWAY”. OUR HEAD COACH SHOULD SAY THE SAME. Good Bye!

Last night’s homecoming game drew a lot to the stands contrary to what posts yesterday said!

I’ve been to every home game thus far and the attendance count went up a whole lot for sure!

Thank you to the fans who came out!

I still love my team no matter what!

What was that all about?

Pumphrey is not Marshall Faulk.

Hawaii has got to be better than New Mexico, right?

Still time to save the season.

Coaches coach the players. How many times in the last 3 years did # 1 get beat deep for a touchdown? We were back in the game at that time. Why is he making the same mistakes and still is in there at that position? Bench him. He has been our weak link at numerous critical times. Put someone is that plays with discipline.
I also didn’t agree with coaches decision to put Max back into the game late after being injured when he was visibly lacking mobility to replace Ikaika. At that point Ikaika was a better option.
#93-#84-#8 played well. Receivers again didn’t get the separation that they needed to give max a target. I thought that neither the defensive line or scheme was solid against the run or pass. Pass rush was non-existent at times which allowed time for a weak passer to complete some passes which he should not have. If we could have prevented just a few of his completions we could won this game. Take something away!
Also still waiting for the anticipated up tempo…………………..
