Liz, I know you’re always prepared to do the National Anthem, but we’ll let you off the hook this time. Sumting from West Side Story might work…nah, j/k!

As you know, most of our Tsaiko gatherings are always very loosey goosey as most of us enjoy just letting things happen.

~ Folks will be late as usual, and that’s ok.

~ Some folks will leave early, as they are on medication and need to clock out, before they knock out!

~ Some will want to be home before the roads get littered with holiday celebrants…Safety First!

Whatever the case may be, it’s all good. We understand. Just stay loose and enjoy the moment!

We had planned on having the ladies of Bay View serve up the grub at 6:30 PM.

Since we have the club from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM we know that Tsaiko’s never arrive on time. So we figured to keep things rolling, we could have folks check-in and then amble over to the range to hit some golf balls and try their hand at the golf challenge. There should be enuff time to wrap things up before chow time.

The Tsaiko All Star Band will be set up to jam some tunes to signal that dinner is being served. After providing a little dinner music, they will be taking requests and will welcome anyone who decides to offer a hula (Mei Ling), or even a rousing rendition of the Curly Shuffle by ST.

I’m sure that most of the eve will be taken up by what the Tsaiko Ohana does best…wala’au! I expect to hear pockets of conversation to allow Ronnie and Wafan ample time to catch up with events of this past year.

I am especially curious about dinner time 🙄

….actually, because some of us have to time our meds and doses to have with food.

She was the POC for LPGA events and small local golf tourney’s back in the day. Her long range plans were in place month by month, one year in advance because that’s how much lead time she needed to reserve starting times for each course. Her clubs played golf on 3 days a week, and once on a weekend every month.

A-Joe’s mom is a member of the Hawaiian Women’s Golf Club that my mom belonged to. Those ladies are dedicated to their sport and meet once a month (Sat.) to play golf on each of the meighbor island courses.

The logistics of even the smallest of mom’s fund raisers involved at least a dozen members of one of her golf club’s. We Tsaiko’s don’t even have ONE Tsaikette that plays golf regularly! Therefore a golf tourney to tie to our little dinner get together tomorrow is not possible.

However – We will have a small kine good fun golf challenge on the driving range for those ladies who want to give it a shot. Pops will be on hand to give some basic pointers. He was a very good golfer back in the day, but much more patient at providing tips to improve your swing.

BG will be in charge of the pairings for this competition as we know that for certain Tsaikettes, there will be blood drawn! Koakane will be the event Marshall since we will not have Officer Coloma to keep things calm. Judge Mui will be the final authority if it comes to that.

Bottom line is, it takes a lot of people coordinating their efforts to run even a small tourney for the Tsaiko’s. Some of you know that I had planned on hosting one at a Par 3 course during the off season, but Diana and I had a rough year, and just got behind the power curve. Maybe after people discover how much fun it can be, I can get more volunteers to help put one together.
