One of the coaches mentioned in the article, Noel Mazzone, is credited by June Jones as a major source of the ideas for his offense, particularly as he moved to dilute the run and shoot with Air Raid concepts. Mazzone provided ideas to June on pass protection. Hal Mumme was another source of ideas from air raid systems that June credited, and Mumme was eventually hired as a coordinator at SMU.

they must be smiling broadly and having their own conversation about UH football new direction, its HC, player commitments ( local and mainland ) with more to come!

I do hope that other local players heard and, hopefully, keep hearing from Timoteo, McKenzie, and other players who have already committed and will sign on NLOI day — no NCAA violation when committed players encourage their peers to join them
while some are skeptical of 2016 – me say 8 and 5, at the worst, with a win in the Hawaii Bowl
