#149. From a strategic point of view, the Dems ould be bettered served to appoint someone would could run as an incumbent in 2014. Akaka and Abbie would be poor choices unless they plan to run in 2014.

Hanabusa and Shatz make the most sense. In my opinion Shinseki is the best choice. Case is another good choice but is an outsiider looking in as far as the Dems are concerned.

If it’s Hanabusa or Shatz look for Mercado Kim to move up the food chain.

What you say is true – I did say “should there be an argument”.

I liked and admired DKI. One thing I did not like was his tendency of trying to be a “king-maker”, Mufi, Secretary Clinton etc comes to mind.

Mufi has experience but I think he has too much baggage as does Waihee.

Neil has great experience as a Congressman but the age factor is to be considered if you are thinking long-range. Ed Case does have a decent voting base if you are considering re-electability.

I think Ben Cayetano would be a decent nominee but age and money would be against him.

There aren’t too many Democrats that I can think of that have the youth and ability to run – the Lt. Gov. would be good but should stay home if case Neil should falter. Neil would be good but the age factor is there.

So it is a difficult choice or selection to make.

Coach Chow has it easy compared to the Committee!!! 😉

Tuesday night at the SSC the WBB team will face HPU in an exhibition at 7 p.m. They haven’t played a game since Dec. 1, and will be playing in the BOH tournament on Dec. 28 against Long Island U, Alabama and Cincy.

It’s Christmas season, if you can, come out an support the ladies in spacious SSC. They play to a very small crowd on a good night, so every bit of support in coming out helps the ladies perform on the court.
