If and when there is a coaching change, as the conversation swirls….a head coach today outside of the power 5 conferences has to put a winning and entertaining product ob the field. They have to recruit better than others and then produce, they have to interact well with all support groups and be able to stir the donation pot. It is a huge job. There is someone out there who is up to the challenge and rewards would be great from a turnaround perspective. I have mentioned PJ Fleck of Western Michigan….1-11 last year and pretty much years of futility. Check out the record and his story pretty impressive for a 32 year old that they took a chance on. All is not lost and this too shall come to pass. It is interesting what is taking place now with this program….what is important is what we as supporters of the program and all involved parties do now—–

Just read the S-A news story about the AD projected deficit now at $3.5 million…up from the $1.5 M forecast in August. That’s $2 million more with UH football ticket projections down $400,000 per BJ. Doing the math, where did the other $1,600,000 in losses come from? Basketball?

… “Jay said the program has also had to deduct any anticipated income from a post-season bowl game.” Really? Yeah, I hope we could get bowl bucks too, but wouldn’t count on it in a fiscal budget…

Huh? Seems like some strangly optimistic number crunching going on…

BJ …interview in the paper is so much full of it.. like his coach…always blaming others..wonder how his ‘H’ zone is doing..n where is all the ‘bucks’ we were expecting…after fracturing all the ‘donors’ now he comes n says..we are 3,5 million defecit n counting..BB. will make it worst.. now that gib n fotu are gon…kobayashi….yee… both gone..plus others…aka.. running low on funds…what a system we have in place up there..

How would 4 or 5 star recruits do under ANY coach that we’ve had? Can you imagine a JJ offense with that type of talent? Heck, Mac would still be coaching. The point is, we have just as much talent as previous coaches and Chow can’t coach them to a win. Period.
