He didn’t have #1 defenses but he had defenses that fit what he needed in a salary cap league. His contract takes away from the money that can be paid to better defensive players… But the Colts made sure to have elite pass rushers in Freeney and Mathis… Banking on Manning’s offense getting a big lead forcing the other team to pass more…

I mean 2005 team was pretty damn legit and Manning offense was more to blame than the defense. Pitt won in Indy 21-18. Manning did have a Sean Schroeder esq performance after being down 18 late in the game…

That’s not enough time to gel in this offense. Look, nobody knows how TG will pan out this year, we can only hope that he and the rest of the QBs work their butts of this spring and summer.

Many of the pundits going in cited Wilson’s just average numbers going into the play-offs, that said, he now has the same number of Supwer Bowl trophies as P. Manning, e.g. numbers are way overrated, unless we are talking points from turnovers. Manning is a stat god, but the man has barely any hardware on his shelves to further validate, the potential “greatest of all-time” question. If we are going to just be thrilled with numbers, I would rather go with a guy like Marino, who was much more exciting and fun to watch—and what a beautiful arm God gave Dan??

And I for one believe he makes plays! If u watch the Nevada game his first drive the Rb misses a block and the mullet guy comes in virtually untouched and forces Higgins to fumble giving up a TD. Next drive Higgins leads them all the way to a touchdown which gets called back. Dick tomey praises Higgins on the drive n the next play same DE mullet boy comes off the left side… Higgins rolls right and the guy again forces another fumble. Higgins pulled next series and the rest of the year. Both weren’t his fault. Maybe the first one he should have thrown the ball away.

My point was SS was written off by many people after his first season but came through with a much better effort last season. People shouldn’t write Graham off this early he might surprise you in the Spring.

#101. You can’t put 1-11 on SS he did his part to produce more wins. It’s like putting our winless season on Dan Robinson.

chow painted himself into a corner with graham and graham must come out on fire and be lit eternally. i think on paper all of us thought graham was the real deal. he still may be, but i for one and concerned that next year every position will be much improved except at QB. and ironically, the QB position and finding talent in the QB position or developing the QB is what chow perhaps knows best.

i’m deeply concerned. to me, sorry gang, but it doesnt matter if tui comes or not. what matters is we need a plug n play QB this coming season or it may be over for chow. and if that is so, who right now should Ben Jay be eying, i say norwood…raise money now to get him. i’m for chow. i want to stick with chow all the way to bring success, but i’m also being realistic. and the realist in me tells me we have QB issues that will bring won loss issues, that will bring head coach issues and controversies ….unless the birdies are hush hush and know something 🙂
