During that span they have yielded 99 runs and scored 54.

What is unsettling, 2 pitchers were suspended at the beginning of that road trip for team-related violations and our young-staff was whacked for 70 runs in 5 games.
Three of those games were 10 run-rule shortened.
Obviousily our pitching has gone from penthouse to out-house in 9 games.

While our pitching was souring our bats started to bipolarize too.

Coach Trapasso has attempted to compress his batting lineup by shifting the hot bats to the top-six and experimenting with a trio of starters at RF…Roguemore, Torigoe and Johnson to hit in the #8 or #9 spots.
Except for Johnson’s 2 run HR on Sunday these bats are comatose.

Coach shifted a streaking Moreford from the bottom in the order to #2, than #1 cuz Ryan found Jobu.

Except for Vinnie, Kolt, McD and occasionally Hernandez, our team BA was pitifully under the Mendoza line, yet we were able to win through clutch -hitting….not in these last 9 games….in the four-game series against LaT, Hawaii batters stranded 38 on the bases or 9.5 per game….yikes!

Yes, weak arms and cursed bats have added up to 10 for a Perfect Storm of 9 losses in the last 11 qames….not only are our boyz struggling to break surface but they are also drowning in their attempt to qualify as one of six teams in the WAC tournament field.
Good gads, this is depressing…but so are articles that talk about public urinating.

Colt will somehow get his chance somehow, somewhere, this young man will always fall forward. Besides, I really don’t think that Zorn says what he actually thinks about Colt. The fact that he mentioned Colts chances at Nr.2 speaks volumes, from there, as they say, it’s only one play…….

The BB Team sure is an enigma to me. What does anybody think here? Is it coaching or what? I can see starting out slow and sluggish, but come on, they where on a roll and suddenly they’re snake bit?

I would love to hear from the BB Experts where that huge drop-off comes from.

about this Seattle has-been and his gamblin’ – scramblin’ run out of the pocket passing. There was no plan. He simply ran for his life and looked for somebody (Largent) to pass to.

Now, it’s do as I say, not as I did. Small college “Polly Tec-wants-a-cracker of Pomona” kid comes to the big show and does well. Prolly thinks Colt made too many headlines and didn’t belong in his league.

For Zorn to question Colt’s accuracy & some of his inane comments both last year & this, I’m beginning to think he’s showing the early signs of Althzeimer’s Disease. I thought Washington was a good placement for him but I change my mind. I kind of wish he had a shot in Chicago or Denver, but you know what happened. I hope he gets a legitimate shot elsewhere if not Washington. Mel Kiper helped him get screwed in the Draft last year & the good news just never seems to end, does it?

Ebarrassingly, the Bulldogs were uninvited to the party they hosted….deja vu?

Hawaii has 10 losses and ends their WAC regular season on the road at Fresno.
If we get swept at Fresno, HAW @ 9-14 will likely end their season in the conference cellar and be shut-out of the WAC Tournament, but would remain the WAC’s blushin host for the second consecutive year. 🙁

5. Hawaii 9-10
6. FSU 6-10
7. SAC 5-9

Does anyone else have an opinion on the “small ball” mentality of the Bows? I know it can be effective when executed properly, but I just get the feeling that we end up sacrificing too many bunts and flyouts which ends up as a sacrifice of the game. I’d rather see the hitters hit.

Our guru must be down with H1N1 or is on atkinson’s diet.

What a let down. I had such high hopes at the start of this past road trip and expected the Rainbows to sweep LA tech.. just the opposite occurred. I feel deflated. I can imagine how the players must feel. But they have to climb out of this slump and take care of business till the end. Time to build character and make the most of what’s left.
