A low-energy mid-week outing for the team and the crowd. GCU played nice defense, touched a lot of balls on the block, passed well, had a nice middle attack, and their libero was money. Another outing like last night and the Lopes might steal a set or two and maybe the match.

I would cut him some slack. To say he’s not sharp after playing in his 4th and 5th set this season seems a little harsh.

The ‘Lopes libero #17 from hawaii (moanalua) is good, and they got 2 other Kamehameha grads on the squad too, good for them, 808 representin’. Really impressed at how Matautia has transitioned from h.s. to collegiate volleyball.

Hawaii is deep in every position except perhaps Middle. I’m a little worried about the backup MB position. Solbrig is just not looking that sharp right now.
