WF, as for me being AD. I doubt if I would have kept Mac. Maybe not Takahara-Dias either. I certainly wouldn’t have hired Bolla.
Perhaps they did underperform this season but it’s a really tough league. Except for BYU, everyone else has 6 losses or more. There are going to be 3-4 teams with 10 losses that make the playoffs.

UH Athletics needs to get a clue from Cindy’s blog..yes, even from what I’m about to post ’cause I’m truly serious about it, Cindy, this time around:

W/ it being the “off season” now (all the way around)..

Wong (WSVB) needs to be cut lose from under Dave’s authority(s) ASAP.
-He can’t be both a hc for Beach and associate for indoors. sooo many in the nation expect that when it comes to women’s vb, Hawai’i NEEDS to be at the front of the pack.

Shoji (WVB) must decide once and for all to retire.
-Keeping people “hanging” about what may/may not be done is NOT cool! He’s had thee most remarkable ‘run’; he’s perhaps the best all-time.

Wagner Pacheco (WVB) needs to be hired to fill the ass. position already.
-The next couple of years SHOULD be spent ‘assimilating’ as to ensure for successes. The man was here before; he is a perfect fit, extraordinarily most skilled coach at that.

Wade (MVB) will do better next year.
-He MUST make the tourney next season..I’ll suggest at the very least the semi-finals of the MPSF to retain ALL ‘hopes’.

I can sort of understand keeping coach Gib because the basketball team attracts decent crowds but with Wade I see no positives in keeping him around.

The team still has problems winning close games like they did last season and AGAIN had a late season collapse. As for the youth excuse Wade keeps bringing in a bunch of new players every year so the lack of experience on his team is basically his fault. They wouldn’t be young if he had kept players like Shane Welch and Harrison Caroll. Next year four freshmen are coming (more on the way I am sure) with only one senior leaving, he will probably try to use the youth excuse again next year.
