Mol and Fey are really, really good players but Olsen,Siki. and Sedore will be tough to beat out. West also looked to be back. Jobe still sets too close to the net but he is very fast and the best option at setter at this time. Franciscovic is getting great coaching and his ability to block will bode well for the future. The libero had his moments but needs to be more consistent. He brings at least 50 fans to the game so maybe he feels pressure. This team has the potential to be one of the top in the Nation. We will see next week.

Hawaii played a lot crisper and cleaner tonight and Thompson Rivers looked like they were in vacation mode for most of the match. Both Averill and Siki turned around their game tonight. Olsen once again played really well tonight. He wasn’t my choice as a starter because he was so erratic offensively last year but so far it looks like he’s proving me wrong. Good for him.

Everyone played tonight. The fifth game featured an all freshman lineup (with the exception or Averill) for most of the set.

Mol, Fey and Franciscovic all played well enough. It’s obvious all of them have loads of potential they just need time to develop. The only thing I question is why play both Mol and Fey this year. By my count they have 6 OHs. Siki is too good to keep on the bench and Olsen looks like he’s finally found his rhythm. I really can’t see more than one of the freshman getting a lot of playing time. Not to mention Timmer is going to figure in the mix somewhere. Just seems shortsighted to me.

Let’s see the Warriors build on that experience tonight.

Thank you for pasting Tsai’s story, Cindy!
