Agree UH targeted Page, a number of their serves went long when Page was back row. That’s a normal plan when trying to take out the big hitter, making them take the serve first, much as happened with Hartong and Danielson.
Think any win is important in this league. The race is so tight that a win can move you from 9th into 3rd, just as a loss can knock you from 3rd to 9th any given weekend.

As a neighbor islander, who doesn’t have the chance to see that many in person, we were thrilled to be there.

Kudos to Coach Charlie Wade and anyone else who was involved with the decision to provide a kids clinic afterwards- on the court. The kids loved it! The players (and coaches) were so attentive
to the kids and provided a very memorable time for kids who look up to them. It was so much fun to see our Rainbow Warriors teaching the kids and sharing their love of the game. Who knows if a future Warrior was amongst the kids at the clinic last night?! IMUA RAINBOW WARRIORS!

The Bruins were targeting Siki on serve and at least for the first half of the match UH was targeting Page. Page was off tonight and Siki was clearly frustrated at times. I expect that the game plan for both teams will be the same tomorrow.

Not to diminish Sedore’s play but for at least the first two sets, UCLA was more focused on UH’s left and middle and consequently left one or less blockers on Sedore. UCLA adjusted but Sedore still made them pay in the later part of the match.

UH really should have won in 3. I admit that I thought after they loss the 3rd set they would deflate. I’m glad I was wrong, they hung tough and squeezed out a win.

A win tomorrow would be a giant step to erase their losses on the road the past couple weeks.

Siki and Jace have got to make less errors. Hopefully they both pick it up tomorrow and UH can win again.
