Anyway I don’t dislike the duos but I noticed Bell/Croson didn’t have much chemistry. They did play Nebraska’s and USC’s number one teams but they just made more errors than any other duo today.

While Spieler and Long have more chemistry they are just too small , Spieler struggled to put the ball away and Long wasn’t much better maybe they both would be better if partnered with someone who is bigger and can terminate and block more like What Kerri is to Misty.

KW does have more broadcast experience, very good analyst, nice job at these past Olympics, played on UCLA’s national championship teams of 93 and 95. Very successful beach career, placed fifth at the 2000 Olympics Doing a lot of work with youth volleyball in Hawaii.

don’t know how you can say that about KW vs. SW
Scott has much more experience coaching and playing than his brother. Don’t get me wrong, I like both of them and both of them know the game inside and out but
Scott has four years at UH, including one year as a volunteer assistant, helped coach the Pepperdine men to the NCAA title in 05, and final four berths in 08 and 09
He had a successful career on the beach, played briefly with the U.S. national indoor team. was a three-time All-American at Pepperdine.

I feel he has alot more volleyball knowledge then his brother, imo.

Looks like Scott is still movin’ and grovin’ the girls around. There’s still some struggle in the #1 and #2 flights. Have to figure that out soon as there will be a time when no more pair changes can be made. Longo/Riggs seem to be the most compatible on the court, the most settled in their pairing and fighters on the court. They are the team to keep an eye on this season. Scott moved them to the #3 flight today. I think the #3 flight for them is a good spot for the season.

Looking forward to hearing about the match against Grand Canyon and LMU tomorrow.

At some point, they won’t be able to switch partners.
Croson-Kastl did OK first day against FIU at No. 3. Got smoked the next day by an FIU team in the quarterfinals that switched up their pairs. Could have been the indoor hangover and Kastl’s ankle from the night before
as for Spieler-Long they finished 3rd at last Saturday’s tournament with an all-FIU final, losing to the No. 1 duo. Their loss Friday came at No. 1 against a beach all-american with plenty of experience

found it interesting that Wong kept the same duos at Nos, 1, 2, 3 but switched Mount for Kastl to team with Manu-Olevao and moved Urban and Zalopany from No. 4 to 5 against Nebraska.
I like the Longo-Riggs pairing. They lost in 3 to USC and won in 2 vs. Nebraska.

although Kastl/Tai looked good against Nebraska.
Or maybe split Spieler/Long since they aren’t doing well, and Pair Ginger and Croson? Spieler with someone big at the net like Urban?

I think UH will do better against USC in the rematch.
