They didn’t mention her coming to Hawai`i but the reporter did. According to her coach no one really knew who she was until they went to a tournament in Vegas and she was impressive enough to get 8-9 offers.

She just started playing VB 3 years ago,played hockey at her previous high school.

If she had no personal problem and was comfortable here as a student/athlete and worked to bring up her hitting pct, she would be in conversation for AA honors. That’s a mouthful but she has the winning aura and came up big in the touted matches against Pepperdine 2, USC and Stanford games and was instrumental in many wins in others. Wishful thinking how far UH will have gone in the NCAA with her and Hartong as the go to. With that said, Shoji will figure out the voids with the OHs on the team come August. Aloha and la manuia, time to move on.

I and some posters here close to the program do know what when on with Croson and why she had a specific 4 weeks suspension. It’s outlined in the NCAA rule book and she couldn’t complete the tasks outlined by Shoji to show progress in correcting this problem. So she decided to take a second chance and start fresh by transferring to Arizona. Hoping she takes advantage and continues her education, good luck to her.

Though her team didn’t make the playoffs (they just missed the cutoff), Kanani nabbed one of the end-of-season awards (Leading Scorer, for the regular season).

If you start from the first page of the thread, you can see the results over the course of the season. more often than not, Kanani is listed as the points leader for her team, often collecting 20 (even 30+) points for the match.
