Well, I feared worse like #20. So #13 was a pleasant surprise for me. It’s still in the top 16, although the RPI that counts is getting close to 16 now.

If Hawaii remains #15, there is still a chance for hosting. However, given the weakness of Big West’s conference, maintaining that position will be difficult, especially after playing winless Riverside. However, there is still hope.

Haven’t dropped too much in this rankings. We’ll see if this holds for the far more important RPI. I think Hawaii will not fall far, so all the apocalyptic predictions of Hawaii’s fans will be overstated. For example, the prediction that Hawaii might not even make the NCAA tourney is absurd.
