12. as mentioned in initial post, Wade couldn’t talk about Tuileta since he’s not enrolled at UHM. but is at KCC. is expecting him in spring.
Said he expects get things from Mautautia.
He thought Parapunov had Umlauft potential and that he was the leading point scorer in the Euro competition.

Below is a share to a MicroSoft OneDrive folder containing an Excel file I drafted that shows the current Big West WVB Auto Qualifier ranking and tie-breakers, tailored for a Hawaii vs. Long Beach head to head comparison. If you are familiar with OneDrive and Excel and how they work, you should have no problem opening and navigating it. I pieced it together quickly so it could have some errors. If you catch any please let me know. I intend to update it after each week of matches for as long as the Big West outcome is in doubt, but no guarantees on updates or accuracy. Here’s the share:

cruisecontrol — good points. yes, you’re correct that hawaii has some “insurance” if the tiebreak comes down to total sets won/lost against teams in the conference.

note though my post above. hawaii with the slightly tougher schedule from here on out, since they will be playing more teams in the top half of the conference than lbsu will.

Can someone help me remember what TV stations, covered UH sports. OC, KFVE, KHNL. I’m trying to look for old games online. The oldest game I know is the 1987 championship game.

it should be noted too that while hawaii may have the edge right now in terms of the win/loss record for sets (hawaii is 23-5, lbsu is 27-8) … the remaining schedule favors lbsu …

for lbsu, 5 of their last 7 conference matches are against the teams in the bottom half of the big west standings …

while for hawaii, 4 of their last 7 conference matches are against teams in the top half of the standings. (the up side though is that hawaii will be playing at home for 3 of those: lbsu, cal poly and ucsb.)

LBSU lost three sets to UCSB & Cal Poly this past week, which gives UH a slight advantage over LB in tiebreaker #3, as Cubicle pointed out. If UH beats LB in the rematch by a 3-2 set score and wins their remaining matches, even if LB wins the rest of their conference matches by 3-0 set scores, UH could still afford to lose 3 sets in their remaining matches and get the AQ. If UH can beat LB 3-0 or 3-1, or LB loses any more sets, that would give UH even more room to work with in tiebreaker #3. Perhaps Maverick, Cubicle, or someone else could check my math (never was a strong suit for me), but I think it looks good for UH if they take care of business from here on out.

Talked with several of the girls at Beach Volleyball Portuguese Horseshoe Fundraiser yesterday. They said that they really needed that 1 week bye to heal up nagging injuries. They all feel re-energized to finish the last part of the BW Conference strong .
