It is better many times for Hawaii to be 27-6 than 33-0 at season end .I have noticed some years going undefeated just led to the fans being heart broken not reaching the Final 4. They will be fine assuming they get past a much stronger Long Beach team. My observation on chemistry with Olevao is she seems to be the starter. As long there are not many preseason, regular season, and post season games on Sunday no problem. For Olevao to start this past Friday and Saturday, then make way for Kastl does mentally change team dynamics. Dave in my opinion should get his Sunday only player in earlier on Friday and Saturday matches to make the special exception rule not too obvious. If they are not much Sunday games they we should just ‘ get over it’. Remember, Chemistry involved not only players but coaching wisely with seeing the whole pictur

226. I was not attacking, just trying to point something out to you. I know you were and maybe still are, an outstanding paddler. What I was trying to point out. There must have been good CHEMISTRY with the other paddlers in your canoe, or whatever you called it. Take on person out of the CHEMISTRY, for personal reasons, what happens to that developed CHEMISTRY? Does it not go a little, to a lot, out of sync? Remember, CHEMISTRY, is the KEY WORD.

maybe I just wanted to feel better about my athletic accomplishments. Ii was girl athlete of the year in HS too.

and forgot to mention my four Catholic League championships, 2 each in volleyball and volley tennis (great sport for people who haven’t heard of it) in 7th and 8th grade.

FYI
I have competed for over 20 years in regatta, did 3 Na Wahine O Ke Kai. 10 years of long distance races.
with 2 marathons among my running history.
4 years of varsity high basketball. Usually 3 sports a quarter very competitive IM at UCLA
so no, I don’t know where you’re coming from

Cindy, I guess you do not believe in Team Chemistry. My question is, what sport have you played. Ok, you paddle, here then, if you paddled competitively. You practice and paddle in events, with the same people. Then when it comes to the most important event, on of the paddlers says she cannot compete, and you have to put someone else in her spot, would it not throw off the cohesiveness of the unit, you all have developed, answer that, Cindy? Maybe, now you know where I am coming from.

223. CL- I was just looking ahead and going by the posted schedule on Hawaii Athletics. If there is only one more Sunday like you say and the 1st and 2nd rounds will not be on Sunday, then I say No worry beef curry. It’s only one match.

surferdad, please don’t get sucked in by this. The team respects Manu-Olevao’s decision.
the NCAA first-second round cannot be split up. it has to be on consecutive days. If Hawaii hosts, it will be Friday and Saturday. Can’t remember any time it has been played on a Sunday.

SOMEONE thinks he’s the only one who knows how often the Wahine has been screwed by the NCAA. Belittling a player’s belief will not help in this matter. It’s a personal decision. She can always change her mind.

SOMEONE shouldn’t mention the common knowlege that there are Mormons in the NFL and probalbly other professional sports. Most fans would prefer Tai plays but still understand where she is coming from.

SOMEONE shouldn’t take losses so personal and lash out at a player or call coaches names. The same SOMEONE GOT ALL HIS POSTS DELETED ON ANOTHER BLOG AFTER THE FOOTBALL TEAM LOST.
