9. very true about BYU, they haven’t played any of the top top and do have a hard time winning outside of Smith.

While it’s possible that any team may upset any other team on a given night, it’s also true that unlike the other top 4 conference teams who have played each other at least once, BYU has yet to play any of the other top 4 teams so its hard to gage how good they may or may not be relative to the other top teams.

If the Warriors can pull out another win against the Waves it would help them solidify their hold on the #2 spot of the conference. It also puts more pressure on Irvine who still has to play Pepperdine once more at Pepperdine.

6. agree BYU losses a combo of the Cougars ill/injured and the Cardinal getting their lineup together. They’ve been playing with a number of things, including running a 6-2 and moving Enriques from libero to OH.

11. The team duals are more important than pairs tourney.
The duals are what is reflected in the record and what the polls reflect.
Tiegs-Taylor will be better in May, as will the rest of the team, as they get used to playing together.

4. Barely halfway through the season. Still six more weeks to play. Lots of things could happen by the middle of April.
Agree that Sunday is a big match and always a good thing to hold the tiebreaker.

5. no one is seeing Sunday match except for those in the arena. There is no TV.

was BYU plagued by illness, Stanford coming together as of late, a combo? Too bad we play BYU @ their home court. Like Charlie has mentioned many times before, have to respect everyone in the league as anyone can pull off an upset anytime when the competition is so fierce

Yes tomorrows match is the biggest home match of the year thus far, too bad for mainland and outer island fans who won’t be able to see it.

Stanford upsetting BYU again tonight in 4 sets. This changes the current MPSF playoff picture.

Now, a win tomorrow night vs. Pepperdine looks like it could be huge in terms of seeding for MPSF playoffs. If Hawaii can get the top overall seed, that would be a definite advantage to them! Here’s to hoping for another win tomorrow!!!
