Thanks TW, totally agree more to it than moving a truck.
Crews usually there 2 hours before. Baseball crew got there by 11 a.m. Game cancelled around noon.
to bring in volleyball crew (on-air people, cameras, production) they would have had to be there by 3 p.m.More staff required for volleyball than baseball.
Don’t believe they would call people in on what had been a scheduled day off for months with around 3 hours notice.
This wasn’t scheduled to be televised. If baseball had been played instead of rained out, would there be this discussion?

The volleyball men deserve more fans in the arena and the best you guys can do is complain it wasn’t televised? Too bad you missed it, hope it wasn’t because you were lazy and cheap. The arena had a nice vibrant feel to it last night. Fans need to make more of an effort for these guys. They are talented, play hard and continue to get better every night. I have worked as part of Oceanic crew in the past and believe me it takes a lot more than moving the production truck sown the road. That’s simply ignorant. Most multi-camera productions of that size which I have been a part of for close to 30 years require a set up 24-36 hrs. in advance. But to explain it all to “Steve” is simply not worth it.
