no idea if HNN could do it other than do have access to two channels. but, again, you didn’t see KFVE doing it when they also had access to two channels.. likely an equipment decision. as well as playing two broadcast crews. I do know that Leahey once told me that, for example they were set up for baseball and it was going to get rained out, it wasn’t simply a matter of moving the truck to go over and do volleyball.
9. Schedule was made months ago. No one could predict that this series would have UH trying to stay in the playoff hunt. However, they were aware that these were the final two home games.
not like they haven’t done it earlier this season when not televising men’s volleyball in lieu of another sport

UH mens volleyball had 15 home matches ALL Season. Shame on OCSports for deciding to televise a meaningless baseball game instead of UH warrior volleyball fighting for the playoffs against the top ranked team in conference!!!! SHAME !

Maybe the viewship is better for baseball?

As for if Hawaii News Now had the contract…..they probably could show simultaneous events on different stations, but that would mean at least two sets of equipment, production crews, and anything else that is required to show a live sporting event.

Perfect opportunity for people to head on down to the SSC to watch what seems to be critical matches for the Rainbow Warrior Volleyball team. They’re going to need the fan support in the arena when they take on a very good BYU team. Go Bows!!

3. I agree that there is a lot of baseball left so why not show both of the final vb home matches.
You are welcome to call OC16. it’s their business decision for whatever reason.
4. really good win by CSUN tonight, helping UH stay alive.

The 14-13 record is not indicative of the team’s status in BW standings so get a life….the volleyball game will be televised sat. nite so at least we get to see the baseball and volleyball games as you can’t please everyone like yourself……

Now the warriors just need to take care of business.

For example, no one is keeping up with Rich Miano at Kaiser because he’s not with UH football anymore. Maybe he’s hurt. TV appearances and personal appearances would go a long way. Aside from Kirk Gouveiau, he may be a forgotten man. Men’s volleyball could use this same idea. It would go a long way.
