Mitchem has played in too many matches this season.Also injury occurred in second half of the season.

It looks like requirements to qualify for a redshirt (medical hardship) include the injury occurring (a) before the first competition of the second half of the season **AND** (b) the player being in not more than 3 contests or 30 percent of contests.

The NCAA rule is Bylaw 14.2.4 and it is cited on various schools’ athletic websites (google “medical hardship” and that number and you’ll get a lot of hits).

You need to view these articles I the correct light, especially positive comments about the Wahine and in particular the prediction of a sweep. These articles sometimes become Trojan Horses by their very nature undermining (or overinflating ) the confidence of the team and the fans.

Bottom line…play hard, take no prisoners.
