(1 ace pales in comparison to Micha Hancock’s 8 aces in 14 attempts .) Furthermore, 4/4/18 is mediocre considering she had more sets than anyone else; the other opposite– Alex Holston– was 2/1/7. (Team USA probably does not employ the “D” set very often.) Note: she cannot rely on international refs to get touch calls against the block.

Incidentally, now we know why the loss of Micha Hancock meant all the difference to Penn State. Her aces do not include the number of “free” balls they got. Likewise, when UH loses the serves of Tayler Higgins & Nikki Taylor the difference will be significant.
