#21 Yeah, watched the Beach game against the Beavers, and Oregon just looked terrible. Beach is gelling with a lot of off speed placement shots and dinks that were really effective. Anteaters are surprising everyone with freshman Opp Harlee Kekauoha killing it and believe their big gun Barbosa may still be out with injury. Don’t know what is happening with Gaucho as I thought with their supper frosh Lindsey Ruddins coming in back from injury, that they would really be smoking.

Wow even UC Irvine beats 21st ranked San Diego in 4 sets tonite right after Long Beach St beat them in 5sets last night. ..The BIG West will not be a cake walk….UC Santa Barbara loses to San Diego St.in straight sets. That’s a little bit of a surprise, but great for Diedre Collins… (Yes!)

I hope we get to see Mitchem on the outside, at least as an experiment. At 6’3″ with a heavy arm (and a good blocker), she could be another weapon that could help when Tai and Greeley are struggling. I also think Maglio continues to improve game by game, and I’d hate to have either Mitchem or Maglio sit on the bench as they spit the MH position.

don’t get this punahou thing. sometimes the players stay at hawaii. sometimes they go away. why people think that suddenly Wong will take all the best Punahou players is beyond me.although he has a connection since he was recruiting for UH until recently.

Anderson had a chance to play for Pepperdine BEFORE Wong go the job. it is where he dad played. The family decided they couldn’t afford it as a walk-on and she stayed at Hawaii where she has academic financial help.

such a tough crowd to please. But I would ask that you use one user name and stop having conversations with yourself to try to justify your opinion.

5. i think with the illnesses, he is looking at a number of people to back up Taylor on the right. Has said that he will look at all outside hitter. Castillo seems the most logical. but that is not counting out Mitchem, he said, which would give him a pretty impressive front line in some rotations. Mitchem has not played RS but can hit from all six rotations.

Mentioned before, but…. Scott Wong starts 3 true freshmen, 2 OH and a middle. None of this because they’re freshmen, but they are the best players in their positions.

#11. Yes, verbally committed to Pepperdine & Punahou alum Scott Wong. So, the critics who complain about Coach Shoji favoring the “Punahou connection” can stop complaining. They will now head to Pepperdine.
